Half Term Workshops

6th April 2010

It's that time again when the schools close and we start hosting free Parkour and Free Running workshops in association with Chelmsford Borough Council, Essex Police and the Chelmsford Partnership.

This week Team Kinetix coaches will be at Melbourne Athletic all afternoon on Tuesday the 6th of April, Thursday the 8th of April and Monday the 12th of April.

The sessions are free and open to anyone, so come on down!

SHOKK Workshops

March 30th 2010

Once again Team Kinetix coaches Brad Wendes and Suzi Appleton have travelled to the North of the country to run Parkour workshops in Warrington, Macclesfield and Crewe over the course of 3 days.

These day-long drop-in workshops are being hosted by SHOKK - www.shokk.co.uk - and all classes are being taught in line with the new SHOKK Parkour coaching guidelines.

IFS Blackpool

26th - 28th March 2010

As part of our tour of Northern England Team Kinetix coaches and performers Brad Wendes, Suzi Appleton and Brad Moss attended the International Fitness Showcase in Blackpool.

The team showed off their skills by performing the corporate show "Long Live the Ringmaster", giving a seminar on Parkour and its uses in fitness and manning the SHOKK stall to answer any questions about Parkour or Circus skills in fitness.

Brad Wendes also got a chance to have a play in the Budman suit provided by SHOKK.

Motion Capture

Suzi Appleton of Team Kinetix spent today working at a top secret location in Oxford as a motion capture artist for the forthcoming Activision title "DJ Hero 2".

New Training Centre Coming Soon

New Training Centre Coming Soon! Team Kinetix are currently setting up a permanent training centre in Essex. We'll be the only centre in the world to offer Parkour and Free Running classes on a daily basis with specific equipment suitable for safe and effective coaching of these urban disciplines.

Outdoor Training Sessions

In keeping with our personal goals, Team Kinetix Free Runners Brad Wendes and Harry Murden have launched our outdoor training sessions. Today we gathered together a selection of our more promising students and trained Parkour outdoors around the town of Chelmsford in Essex. The session was run in a structured and productive manner, and was met by very positive feedback from the local police. Outdoor Parkour training will now be held every Sunday in Chelmsford, email us for more details.

Half Term Coaching

Half Term again means lots of coaching this week! Team Kinetix Parkour teachers will be running workshops at Blackwater Leisure Centre on Tuesday, Dengie Hundred Leisure Centre on Thursday, and our regular St Albans and Chelmsford classes.

Shokk Comes to Town

Team Kinetix Parkour trainers were up in Macclesfield today as part of the half term 'Shokk Comes to Town' events. Brad & Suzi ran Parkour taster sessions all afternoon at Macclesfield Leisure Centre for local young people. It was great to see so many people interested and eager to take part. Huge thanks to Charlie, Shawn and Nat from Shokk, and the staff at Macclesfield Leisure Centre for helping the day run smoothly. We're enjoying being part of the Shokk family!
