Thorpe Park

27th August

As the summer draws to a close we were contacted by the Chelmsford Partnership and asked to choose a selection of our students to receive a reward for working hard all summer.

The young people who had regularly attended summer workshops, shown a good attitude and worked hard were invited to Thorpe Park for the day with the Team Kinetix coaches.

It was a great end to the summer projects and showed all those involved that a positive attitude has its rewards.

ENO Know The Show

26th August

After our professional consultancy work and choreography for the English National Opera, we were invited to run workshops and present a short demonstration of 'Action Theatre' at the Know The Show event.

Team Kinetix coaches Brad Wendes and Suzi Appleton went along to the event in the heart of Camden to take an introductory workshop in stunts and stage combat.
At the end of the day all the young people involved showed off their skills to adult theatre-goers and industry professionals.

The day was a massive success and we look forward to working with ENO again next season.

Live 'N' Deadly

19th August

Today was another exciting day for Team Kinetix and our students.
Kinetix coaches Brad & Thanda spent the day with a select group of Parkour students filming with a BBC film crew for the BBC1 show "Live 'N' Deadly".

The show features our young practitioners training in the gym as well as outdoors in both the built environment and natural environment.

Hopefully it will be a very positive piece on safe training and progression.

Thanks to the Woodland Trust for the use of Swan Wood in Essex, as well as Riverside Ice & Leisure for letting us use their facilities.

UPDATE:
Here's the final piece as aired on BBC1.
Our section starts 4:00mins into this video.

We're very happy with the end result, and exceptionally proud of our guys and girls!
